Sinopsis

Arheolog se vraća s iskopina u Kataloniji kući u Split, gdje nakon stanovita vremena počini samoubojstvo. Njegov prijatelj sudac pronađe audio kazetu sa snimljenim arheologovim zapisom, pomoću koje pokušava odgonetnuti razloge za samoubojstvo…

An archaeologist returns from an assignment in Catalonia to his home in Split. Soon after, he commits suicide. His friend finds an audio tape that helps him in uncovering the reasons for the archaeologist’s suicide…

Ivan Martinac

(1938. – 2005.) Dok je studirao arhitekturu u Beogradu, počeo je snimati filmove prema vlastitim scenarijima. Nastavio je u Kinoklubu Split i u produkciji profesionalnih filmskih kuća. Velike stvarateljske energije, britkih misliju, nadahnjujući za suradnike, poticao je na bavljenje filmom i na stvaranje generacije splitskih kreativaca okupljenih oko Kinokluba Split. Svestrani umjetnik i intelektualac s naslovom ‘majstora eksperimentalnog filma’. Arhitektonska naobrazba utjecala mu je na rad, pa je gledatelj dojma da Martincu montažom češće upravljaju izražajna sredstva kao što su ritam, kompozicija, linija, ploha, boja, struktura, a ne logika zbivanja ili pravila filmskoga plana. Martinčev osnovni element filma je kvadrat, sličica, a ne kadar ili zbivanje u kadru.

(1938 – 2005) Born in Split, he first started making films based on his own screenplays while studying architecture in Belgrade, continuing his work in Cine Club Split and on professional productions. A person of immense creative energy, sharp-witted and inspiring collaborator, he was a driving force for the entire generation of creatives based around the Cine Club Split. Multidisciplinary artist and intellectual, worthy of the title “master of experimental film”. Architectural education had a major influence on his work. One might say that his editing is largely driven by expressive elements such as rhythm, composition, line, plane, colour and structure, rather than the logic of events or the rules of the camera shot. The basic element in his films is a frame, an image, and not the film shot or the events taking place.
